GRITS N Roses

Grits N Roses is a bluegrass band based in Phoenix Arizona. In the short time we’ve been together, we’ve developed a hard driving bluegrass sound with musical roots in folk, country, and a lot of bluegrass. The band members originate from all parts of the country.  Rick Rhodes is from Washington, DC and plays banjo and sings. Vern Dennis is from Waterloo, Iowa and plays mandolin and sings. Lem Johnson from California plays guitar and sings. Ken Killebrew on bass is an Arizona native and helps out singing.
